India Thrash West Indies by 257 Runs: Wins Test Series: Team India showed sheer domination against West Indies in their home space. India registered back to back victories and registered a 257-run win against West Indies in the second test. India is now on the top of the ICC World Test Championship points table after 2-0 series victory against West Indies. India set up a target of 468 and West Indies batting order tumbled down badly once again leaving India a 257 run victory in the second test. The team tumbled down for 210 in 59.5 overs on the fourth day of the second test.
Sharmarh Brooks (50) and Jason Holder (39) are the top scorers for the team in the second innings. Ravindra Jadeja (3/58) and Mohammed Shami (3/65) picked performed well with the ball. Earlier before this, West Indies won the toss and asked India to bat. India made 416 in their first innings and West Indies ended up for 117. Team India managed to get 168/4 and declared their second innings. Virat Kohli is now the most successful captain among the Indian test captains after he won 28 tests among the 48 tests. MS Dhoni is second in the list with 27 victories in 60 tests.
