England Win Over New Zealand in a Nail-Biting World Cup Final:- The World Cup battle for 2019 came to an end with a nail-biting final between England and New Zealand. The host England won their maiden world cup. New Zealand won the toss and they elected to bat. They managed to get 241/8 on board after Henry Nicholls (55), Tom Latham (47) and Kane Williamson (30) managed to impress with the bat. Chris Woakes (3/37), Liam Plunkett (3/42) and Jofra Archer (1/42) have impressed with the ball for England.

Chasing 242, England struggled and they ended up all out for 241 which led the match to a super over. Ben Stokes (84 not out), Jos Buttler (59) and Jonny Bairstow (36) are the top scorers for England. James Neesham (3/43), Lockie Ferguson (3/50) and Colin (1/25) managed to restrict the England batsmen well. The match went for a super over and England made 15/0 while New Zealand managed to make 15/1. With England scoring more number of boundaries, England has been declared as the winner of World Cup 2019. Ben Stokes has been announced as the player of the match while Kane Williamson has been named as the player of the tournament.
