“I need to grab hold of the opportunity that will come my way playing against Australia in the T20 internationals next month,” says Yuvraj Singh.
Yuvraj was offered a place in the squad, after watching his intensity in the performance, in the ongoing Vijay Hazare trophy.
In the match, Yuvraj is the 3rd highest scorer with 341 runs at an average of 85.25.
Responding to the same, Yuvraj said, “It feels great to get an opportunity. Playing in Australia will not be easy, but I need to make the best of this chance.”
Yuvraj further said that, he was keen on performing well, with the intention of making it to the Indian squad for the T20 World Cup.
The pressure would always be for anyone, who makes a comeback. The people expect to perform the same, and if any changes in the performance, the effect would be severe on the one who made a comeback. I wish, I would be living up to the expectations of all my fans and followers, Yuvraj said, when he was asked whether he had any pressure, due to his comeback.
Yuvraj played for India against Srilanka in the World Twenty20 final in 2014, the last time. India lost the match, after Yuvraj had to face the tough situation, which is to take out 11 runs, from 21 balls.
Speaking about the same, Yuvraj said that, it was a terrible phase and expressed his confidence that he was stronger now, unlike in the past.
