After India lost the match to South Africa, in 2nd T20I in Cuttack, the crowd who could not take the defeat, threw the bottles onto the Indian players.

A few of the people, who are believed to be the spectators, threw the water bottles onto the stadium that saw, South Africa outplay India by 6 wickets to clinch the three-match series.  

The group in the crowd continued to throw the water bottles during the South African chase, but could only delay the fate, as the South Africa team won the match, with 17 balls still left.

Reacting to the issue, the South Africa captain said, “I played a number of times in India from the past 6 years and this is the first time, we experienced such a bad incident in life. It should not have happened and I just hope this is the first and last time in the tour.”

“Though the officials are shouting repeatedly to calm down, the spectators seem least concerned about it and continued to throw the bottles at us,” captain said.

Giving a negative shade on one side, he even took the issue to the positive side saying that, only the first few bottles are thrown with the serious intent, but the later ones are just thrown.

Referring to a similar incident in the past, he said, “ When we played a match in Vizag and won it, a few bottles started against us with the serious intent and the latter ones are just thrown out of fun. There is no need of taking the issue much seriously.

However, there is no threat to the safety of the players. A few of the umpires felt that it is better to stay in the centre of the ground or simply leave the pavilion.
             
Incidents like these, disappoints the players and might even lead to permanent ban of cricket game in the country, as the people are misbehaving towards the players. So it would be better if the cricket lovers keep this in mind and secure our cricket in the country.
