Blood Thinners to Reduce the Hospital Deaths of Coronavirus:- Several blood thinning drugs that are available in the market can reduce the risk of coronavirus hospital deaths told a study. This is told as one more promising tool as the physicians have been in hunt for the new ways to treat coronavirus. As per the study, 14 percent of the patients who are given anticoagulants in 24 hours of the admission in the hospital died from coronavirus while 19 percent of them who were not given. The study is published in the British Medical Journal. The patients are said to have been treated with an injected blood thinner named heparin which is a generic drug maker.

Several scientists have been in hunt for low-cost medications to help the coronavirus patients who are severely ill. Dexamethasone has been one of the biggest suggestions and it is a steroid that is shown to reduce the risk of death by one-third. The study was conducted on more than 4000 patients and mostly men in the US Department of Veterans Affairs. All these were admitted in the hospital between the period of March 1st and July 31st last year during the coronavirus lockdown. All those patients who got anticoagulants did not get any increased risk of bleeding as per the study.

The study is completely based on the observation of the admitted patients and the results are confirmed through the clinical trials.
