Pink Eyes, The Primary Symptom Of Coronavirus

Pink Eyes, The Primary Symptom Of Coronavirus:- The coronavirus fever is shaking the world completely and lakhs of people passed away due to the pandemic. Fever, cough and breathing issues are the common symptoms found in the patients of coronavirus. A new study said that pink eyes are also a reason to be tested positive with the disease. The study is published in the Canadian Journal of Opthalmology. The study said that conjunctivitis and keratoconjunctivitis are also the primary symptoms of coronavirus.

The researchers made it clear that a 29-year-oold woman approached the Royal Alexandra Hospital’s Eye Institute of Alberta with conjunctivitis and minimal respiratory symptoms. There was little improvement after days of treatment. After she was tested with coronavirus, the results are positive as per the researchers. The main presentation of illness in this case is eye and not the respiratory system said Carlos Solarte, an assistant professor at the University of Alberta in Canada.

The patient had no fever, cough or cold because of which she did not undergo coronavirus test. The study said that 10 to 15% of the coronavirus patients have conjunctivitis as the symptom. The study also revealed that the virus can be transmitted through the body's mucous membrane system. The patient in this case recovered completely from coronavirus. Patients coming into an eye clinic with conjunctivitis and keratoconjunctivitis are now treated as coronavirus cases.
