Healthy diet is key to a long life free from diseases. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and should not be skipped. The fast pace of life today has compelled some people to either skip breakfast or to eat fast food inorder to save time. Nutritionists have debunked both the habits. Eating oily food in the morning is not the right way to start your day.
Following types of food items should be avoided for breakfast, according to nutritionists.
Junk food items like fried fast food, chips, soft drinks and sweets like candy is a strict no-no in the morning as breakfast.
Paranthas made in ghee or oil are best avoided. If you can't do without them for breakfast, make sure to cook them in very little oil and consume them with curd.
A usual breakfast for students residing in hostels is Poori-Aaloo. This is really an unhealthy option for the first meal of the day. If you don't have another option, blot the excess oil from the Pooris using a paper or tissue.
