Most of today's health problems are caused directly or indirectly due to elevated blood pressure. While many people ignore hypertension or high blood pressure, some continue to take medicine but never adhere to the diet. High blood pressure is a silent killer. It will directly lead to cardiac related diseases. In order to put a check to hypertension, you should first make sure that you have a healthy life style. By healthy lifestyle, we mean-your day to day activities that don’t stress your body and mind. Skipping meals, working for longer hours and irregular sleeps can also be factors of hypertension.

Even after adopting a healthy lifestyle you might still get blood pressure due to age factor or the increasing tensions. In that case, the first thing you need to do is-visit a physician as soon as possible. Take BP medicines regularly. Taking these medicines is not enough, you should also keep yourself away from smoking and consuming alcohol. Fag and booze will shoot your blood pressure for sure.

Many people often have the habit of shaking the salt. Sodium is your biggest enemy if you have elevated blood pressure. So, take low amounts of salt in your meals. Besides, you should also meditate and exercise regularly.
