NRI official resigns

US President Barack Obama's science secretary, Dr Subra Suresh has tendered his resignation to the post today. He would be joining as the chief of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), one of the prestigious institutes in the country. Fifty six years old Subra Suresh served as the director of national science foundation in the United States since 2010. He was credited to have brought in many reforms in the area of science that were hailed by the President himself.

Hailing the works of Dr Subra, Obama has said that he was an outstanding scientist and engineer who was committed to his job and contributed a lot to the development of science in the country. He even said that he was grateful for the service of Dr Subra and termed that they were fortunate enough to have him as the director for the national science foundation for two years.
