An Indian origin nurse who  answered a prank call at the King Edward VII hospital where Prince William's pregnant wife Kate Middleton's morning sickness treatment was going on,  has been found dead on Friday, December 7th in a suspected suicide. The death comes days after the hospital apologized for being tricked by an Australian radio station and relaying details about Kate's condition which caught the viral attention from media.

"It is with very deep sadness that we confirm the tragic death of a member of our nursing staff, Jacintha Saldanha," John Lofthouse, the King Edward's chief executive told reporters outside the central London hospital. "We can confirm that Jacintha was recently the victim of a hoax call to the hospital. The hospital had been supporting her throughout this difficult time." he added.

Police said they got a call about a woman found unconscious at an address near the hospital. The woman was pronounced dead after ambulance staff arrived. Authorities added that  the death was being treated as unexplained but they were not looking for anyone else, indicating the nurse had taken her own life.

William and Kate, who left the hospital on Thursday, said they were "deeply saddened" by the death of the nurse,a mother of two children.
It's worth mentioning that earlier on Wednesday two Australian DJ, Mel Greig and Michael Christian, called the King Edward VII hospital pretending to be Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles to inquire about the treatment of the Princes. The unfortunate nurse, not knowing that it was prank , gave details regarding the matter to them. Later the whole story went viral after the Djs published it on the internet naming it as 'greatest royal prank ever'.
