Coerced agreement of NRI: Punjab State Commission slams police

The Mohali police allegedly forced an NRI to enter into an agreement, which was of no benefit to him. Reacting on the same, Punjab State Commission for NRI s lashed out at Mohali police for their alleged coercion to make the man execute the articles of agreement. The state commission has asked the superintendent of police of Mohali to look into this forceful agreement and take appropriate action against the same.

The commission further said that alternative dispute resolution (ADR) was prevalent in India on which party rely on but the same can't be thrusted on a party, which was nothing but a coercion. It has to be mentioned here that NRI Aditya Khindaria submitted a complaint to the Punjab State Commission that he was the chairman of Kare Partners Group India (Pvt) Ltd. He recently entered into an agreement with three doctors over a business. Aditya said he became a major stake holder. He was later taken as a director along other two. Later, difference of opinion cropped between directors and the matter went before retired Chief Justice of Punjab for ADR. In interim, one of the two directors approached Mohali SP and complained against Aditya. Mohali police pressed Aditya to sign a contract, said the counsel of NRI.
