Russian President Vladimir Putin launched the first-ever coronavirus vaccine in the world. Putin asked the Health Minister Mikhail Murashko to keep him updated about the vaccine that is in the final stages of clinical trials. He says that it is working quite effectively. Putin met the press and made it clear that this is the first-ever vaccination in the world for the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Putin said that the vaccine underwent all the necessary tests. Putin said that one of his daughters received a shot of the vaccine and she is doing absolutely fine. Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said that the registration is conditional and the trials will continue. The Health Ministry of Russia confirmed that the mass vaccination starts in October. The vaccine was developed by Gamaleya National Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology. The final check-up showed immunity in all the participants. The clinical trials of the vaccine started on June 18th and tests were conducted on 38 volunteers. All the participants developed immunity and the first group of volunteers got discharged on July 15th and the second group of volunteers got discharged on July 20th. Gamaleya National Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology along with the Russian Defence Ministry developed the vaccine. With 53,601 new cases of coronavirus, the total tally stands at 22,68,929 as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. Around 15,83,490 people recovered from coronavirus completely and the recovery rate is said to be 69.80 percent. The total fatalities stand at 45,257. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is holding a video conference with ten chief ministers of the country today including Maharashtra, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Gujarat, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Telangana. 28.21 percent of the patients are still recovering in hospitals and home quarantine. 871 people passed away in the country yesterday alone. The total number of cases across the globe crossed 20 million and the death toll in the world stands at 7,32,000. USA, Brazil, India, Russia, South Africa, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Chile and Iran are the most impacted countries of the globe. The Expert Committee on the vaccine administration will meet on August 12th. Dr V K Paul, the Chairman of NITI Aayog to discuss about the coronavirus vaccine. The testing rate in India is said to be 18,000 tests per million which is one-fifteenth rate in the tests that are conducted in United Kingdom. USA and Russia are testing one out of the five citizens or around 2 lakhs per million.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hoist the national flag at the Red Fort which will have limited guests in attendance. With the spread huge in Telangana, the High Court of Telangana issued special guidelines on the celebrations of the Independence Day in the state. Several Telangana politicians and celebrities along with officials are tested positive with coronavirus and the number of new cases are increasing at a rapid speed. Hence the Telangana High Court asked to restrict the Independence Day celebrations. The celebrations should not exceed the attendance of 50 people and the entire program should be completed in just 20 minutes. The High Court imposed a ban on all the cultural programs that will take place every year. The High Court wanted everyone to follow social distancing and use face masks, sanitizers. All the other issued guidelines should be strictly followed said High Court. The number of coronavirus cases in the state reached 82,000 mark and 645 people passed away in total. 1896 new cases of coronavirus are registered in the state in the last 24 hours. They looted the stores and smashed windows. The clash went on for hours after which the Chicago cops started firing. Over 100 people are arrested in relation with this case. Police Superintendent David Brown responded saying that the incident is 'pure criminality'. Mayor Lori Lightfoot sought distance in the incident after the May 25th Minneapolis incident created a sensation. The Chicago cops said that this is not a protest and it was a crime. 13 officers got injured in the incident and a civilian, security guard were struct in the gunfire. The images and videos that surfaced on social media showcase the storefronts bashed and damaged completely. People are spotted fleeing into the stores with arms taking away the goods. The incident took place in Magnificient Mile. A 20-year-old was nabbed but he fled after opening fire on an officer. The youngster was shot and he is currently in hospital. The police sent 400 officers to bring the situations under control. A man was arrested with a cash register. The incident took place for 12 hours and over 100 culprits are taken into custody.
