Table Toppers Puneri Paltan Lost Game Against Bengaluru Bulls 27-29

A highly close encounter was fought between Bulls and Puneri Paltan on Monday in which  Bengaluru Bulls successfully managed to defeat Puenri Paltan by just 2 points at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad in Match 17 of the fourth season of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League.

In the first half, Deepak Niwas Hooda from Pune and Ajay Rathi from the Bengaluru Bulls played extremely well as both the teams were tied 7-7 with both the players scoring 1 points each at the 14th minute. Due to some quality defense from the Bengaluru Bulls, they managed to go to break with 2 points lead at 10-8.

Although Sonu Narwal scored two points from Puneri Paltan, Mohit Chhillar, from the Bengaluru Bulls, who was in extremely well form, tried to restrict Pune in the second half. Till the 32nd minute Paltan was leading the game 20-16 before Bulls managed to score a super tackle to level the game 20-20 and with another super tackle they managed to take the lead 22-21.

Rohit Kumar’s performance in last stages of the game was the main force behind Puneri Paltan’s loss as after scoring an all out and leading 26-23, his back to back raid points and a super raid helped Bengaluru Bulls to take the lead 28-26. He again scored another raid points to register a win for his team.

Bengaluru Bulls now has reached the 5th spot with winning 2 games and bagging 9 points whereas Puneri Paltan, despite their loss, are still at the top of the table with winning six games and accounting 20 points.
