Reliance Industries Breaks Into Top 100 Fortune 500 Global List:- Reliance Industries jumped 10 places and broke into the top 100 listed companies in the Fortune 500 Global List. As per the current rankings, Reliance Industries is placed 96th and is the only Indian firm to be placed in the Fortune 500 Global List. Reliance Industries broke into the top 100 list in 2012 and was ranked 99th place. But it later slipped places and is ranked 215 in the year 2016. The state-owned Indian Oil Corporation which is a venture of Reliance Industries came down by 34 positions and is ranked 151 in the list. ONGC is in 190th place and SBI is ranked 221 in the list of Fortune 500 Global List.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) is on the 309th rank and Tata Motors is at 337th place and Rajesh Exports in 462nd place in Fortune 500 Global List. Reliance Industries registered a revenue of 86.2 billion USD and its IOC had a revenue of 69.2 billion USD. Walmart is on the top of the Fortune 500 Global List with a revenue of 524 billion USD and is followed by Sinopec Group with 407 billion USD, State Grid with 384 billion USD and China National Petroleum with a revenue of 379 billion USD. Shell slipped down two positions.Indian Oil, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation, State Bank of India, Bharat Petroleum, Tata Motors, and Rajesh Exports are the other Indian firms that made it to the Fortune 500 Global List.
