India Jumps 23 Spots In Ease Of Doing Business

India Jumps 23 Spots In Ease Of Doing Business:- India took a huge lead after it jumped 23 spots and secured 77th rank in the Global Ease of Doing Business Index as per the report from the World Bank. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised before 2014 elections that he would improve the rank of the country in ease of doing business. As promised after BJP came to power, the rank has seen consistent changes and leaped up to one of the best positions. India was in 142nd place among the 190 countries in the year 2014 when Modi took charge.

India reached 131st place in 2016 and now in 2017, it reached 100th spot. Now India is at 77th place this year. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that we have come within 50 ranks and we are in 77. Several startups and MNCs across the globe have been showing interest on investing in the country. He reminded that India is the only Asian country to improve so much in Global Ease of Doing Business Index. India is in the global rank of 7 when it comes to protecting the minority investors.
