Union Commerce and Industries Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said there was no probe against e-commerce giant Flipkart event though it received numerous complaints over the recent 'big billion day sale'. These statements came like a shock as the very minister on October 8th said, the government would look into the complaints over Flipkart.
Talking to the reports at BJP office in Delhi, Sitharaman added, “I would like to state that no enquiry has been planned or proposed on the e-retailer on the concerns raised by customers on the big billion day sale.”
On October 6th, Flipkart launched the 'Big Billion Day' and manipulated the prices of certain goods and products. The customers were shocked to see the real price in other portals and complained to the government. The following Flipkart apologised to the customers and also added that it is ready for any probe.
