All the "roadies" out there now have more reasons to widen their smiles, Royal Enfield has has launched the much awaited 500cc beast variant of the highly popular Thunderbird. Leisure motorcycling has been taken to a whole new level with this launch.

The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500 is a completely modern vehicle with better safety measures for both the riders and the bike. The 500cc monster unit construction engine can churn out a 27.2 bhp power. It also has the electronic fuel injection system. The main ignition lock is also the central steering lock.

The Thunderbird brand has built its own cult following amongst Royal Enfield customers, as a comfortable touring motorcycle," the CEO of Eicher Motors, Siddhartha Lal said. Royal Enfield is a division of Eicher Motors.

The bike is available in three color variants, Stone, Flicker and Twilight. Stone as a matte finish with the rugged texture and Flicker is the most chosen color, complete black and Twilight is a dual tone blue-black finish. General body parts are all themed to be black to accentuate the looks.
Hazard Lamps in the switch gear has never been introduced in an Indian-made motorcycle. The extreme power of the bike also requires equal stopping power and this has been achieved with a disc brake on the rear wheel too. The swing arm to which it is mounted has also been revamped to be oval for better performance.
