Mercedes-Benz R350 diesel variant and 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650R launched

German Luxury automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has released the diesel variant of the popular Multi Utility vehicle in its garage, the R350 CDI. The new beast is priced at Rs 58.9 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

This multipurpose vehicle has a 2,987 CC CDI diesel engine.  Debashis Mitra, Mercedes- Benz India Director-Sales & Marketing opined that the introduction of the diesel variation is sure to attract more number of their valued customers and patrons of the luxury offered by the multipurpose crossover.

The vehicle also features an all wheel drive transmission with a 11.25 kmpl mileage. With a seating capacity of seven people the luggage compartment can house anywhere from 633 to 2385 litres,
Mercedes-Benz India had launched the petrol version of the R350 in 2010 and is currently priced at Rs 58.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Bajaj Auto launched the 2012 model of Kawasaki Ninja 650R superbike at a price of Rs 4,99,834 (ex-showroom in Delhi) on Thursday. It is no news that Kawasaki- Bajaj are the number one superbike makers in India within the Rs 2-5 lakh segment.

They however have not revealed their target sales desired for the year.
