Global Hospitals keen to start a hosp in Mumbai

Global Hospital, the place where the union minister Vilasrao Deshmukh is undergoing treatment, in Chennai has plans to expand its business in Mumbai too keeping in view of increasing medical demands from the people of Maharashtra too. It has to be mentioned that Global Hospital has its mother branch in Hyderabad, which was started a decade ago. Within a span of ten years, Global Hospitals opened its branches in Chennai and Bangalore.

The founder and director of Global Hospital recently spoke to DNA about the plans of expansion. He said Global Hospital was started in 1999 and is famous for multi-organ transplant.  He said the expert surgeons at Global Hospitals perform various transplants including lung and heart transplants.  Speaking about the common transplants, he said liver and kidney transplants were very high.

It may be noted that Vilasrao Deshmukh was reportedly advised a liver transplant by doctors in Mumbai. And he was admitted to Global Hospital in Chennai late last night. The doctors here on Wednesday told Morning Cable that whether or not Vilasrao Deshmukh needs a transplant would be ascertained only after 48 hours.
