India Posts the age old organization under the Posts and Telegraph Department is off late turning into corporate methodology with its vivid up-gradation. Infact the country's widest networked organization failed to capitalize its consolidation in any of the commercial segments. But with new blood injected the old mechanisms are recently replaced by modern computers and likes in the length and breadth of the country. In its recent endeavor to show its competitive spirits India Posts proposes to give discounts for Rakhi Celebrations on all purchases of Gold Coins.

India Post is offering a special discount of 6.5 per cent on purchase of gold coins from selected post offices in Delhi today on the occasion of 'Raksha Bandhan' festival. Probably depending on the success of the promotion, they might extend the next year or for Diwali say sources. India Posts issued a statement in this regards, 'the postal service will give a discount of 6.5 percent to any customer who buys gold from select post offices on Aug 1. In the capital, the discount will be available in all 31 post offices that sell gold coins. These coins have purity rating of 24 karat and are available in tamper-proof packaging.'

The Statement also added that 'the coins bearing the logo of the services are available in denominations of 0.5 gm, 1 gm, 5 gm, 8 gm, 10 gm, 20 gm and 50 gm. In particular gold coins from India Posts means  internationally recognized certification, low risk of duplication, quality packaging, product standardization and numbering with assayer certification.'
