Patna Pirates Beat Bengaluru Bulls 38-23

Riding on the strong defense Patna Pirates registered victory against Bengaluru Bulls on Thursday at Sree Kanteerava Stadium by 15 points in 33rd match of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League 2016.

Patna Pirates are at 2nd spot in the points tally with scoring 31 points with 6 wins in 8 games whereas Bulls are at 6th with 3 wins and 21 points.

Pirates opened the account with the bonus point and Surjeet Singh leveled the score 3-3 in the fourth minute. Rohit Kumar had opened from Patna Pirates and had scored a point in the first minute. Star raider Pradeep Narwal, from Bengaluru Bulls could not score a single point. Rajesh Mondal played brilliantly in the game as he scored four raid points and and gave 16-11 lead to his team. Pradeep Narwal of Patna Pirated remained completely out of form and could not score points in the whole first half.

Later, continuing his form in the second half, Rajesh Mondal two raid points at the start of the second half. Pirates inflicted an all out on Bulls in the 25th minute as they were leading 25-12. Countering to Pirates’ attack Bull scored their first super tackle in 32nd minute as they trailed 17-28. Pirates’ third all out on Bulls in 33rd minute turned the match towards them as they took a lead 33-17. Bulls could not cut the difference fully and faced a crushing defeat as Pirates performed tremendously well without the performance of their star raider Pradeep Narwal.
