Ola Driver Accused Of Sexual Harassment In Bengaluru:- A 22-year-old woman has accused an Ola cab driver of misbehaving with her by playing a porn video on his mobile and stimulating when she was in the cab.
The woman was traveling from Yelahanka New Town to JP Nagar on Thursday morning.
Cubbon Park police registered a case of sexual harassment on Saturday based on a complaint filed by the woman, a private firm employee. The driver has been identified as Devasamoliya.
The woman said she booked the cab at 6.28 a.m. Thursday to JP Nagar. She found the driver staring at her through the mirror when they approached Queen’s Circle. Holding the mobile in his left hand so that it is visible to her, he played the porn video. Later, he masturbated as well, she told police. When she repeatedly asked him to stop the car, he refused and dropped her only at her destination.
Reacting to the incident, an Ola spokesperson said: "The driver no longer has access to our platform. We are standing by our customer and are cooperating with police."
