Kolkata Municipal Corporation [KMC] has proposed a strange offer to the people and if they paint their house or apartment with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's favorite colors [White and Sky Blue], then KMC is ready to waive the property tax for the year 2014-15.

This proposal of KMC has been sent to state cabinet for approval and if the cabinet approves, it will be sent to Governor for a formal nod. As Trinamool Congress came into power in 2011, many of the government's official building have underwent a change of color code and even taxis, public buses changed their color from red to blue and white.

The State BJP and Congress have opposed this move of KMC and claimed it as a gimmick of Mamata Banerjee.
