Narendra Modi to lay foundation for 21 Railway Stations in Telangana:- On Sunday under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for 21 railway stations in Telangana. Modi as part of the national policy will lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of 508 railway stations with an expenditure of Rs 2,079.29 Cr across the country virtually.

Hyderabad, Hafizpet, Hitec City, Uppuguda, Malakpeta and Malkajgiri will be developed in Telangana on the expenditure of Rs 894.09 Cr. Over all 36 railway stations will be developed in Telugu states, of which 21 will be in Telangana.

The re-developed railway stations are going to have better parking systems, better circulation areas, divyangjan-friendly infrastructure and improved lighting. The railway stations are going to be user friendly.

Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager of South Central Railway said that Amrit Bharat stations will be a new experience for the railway users. Under the complete scheme, 1309 stations will be redeveloped and launched.

Along with the Telugu states other states which will be benefited from this process are UP and Rajastha (55), Buhar (49), Maharashtra (44), West Bengal (37), Madhya Pradesh (34), Assam (32), Odisha (25), Punjab (22), Gujarat (21), Jharkhand (20), Andhra Pradesh (18), Tamil Nadu (18), Haryana (18) and Karnataka (13).
