KCR unveils Amara Jyothi Marty's Memorial:- Telangana chief minister KCR as a tribute to the several hundreds of people who sacrificed their life for the cause of a separate state has unveiled an Amara Jyothi Telangana Martyrs Memorial. This is going to inspire the coming future generations and a constant reminder to the people in the state about the sacrifices people have made, KCR said at the event.

K Chandrasekhar Rao on this occasion said that the sacrifices will not go waste and the aspirations will be fulfilled. There was a huge photo gallery from 1969 following the Telangana movement and KCR also requested the public to share photographs and videos they have that can be showcased at the gallery.

KCR was emotional at the event, he called the movement as two phases. He remembered how he gathered people from various fields. He also mentioned the efforts of Prof Jayashankar and Konda Laxman Bapuji.

Marty’s is located on the banks of the Hussain Sagar and in front of the state secretariat. The Martyrs was constructed at a cost of Rs 179Cr with the largest seamless stainless steel. M Venkata Ramana Reddy was the man behind the architecture. As part of the inauguration, there was certain traffic regulations around the city between 3 PM to 9 PM, which troubled the common public.
