AP government bans private practice by government doctors

AP government bans private practice by government doctors:- The last cabinet meeting of the AP cabinet took place yesterday as YS Jagan is keen to reshuffle the entire cabinet. The new cabinet of ministers will take oath on April 11th and the new set of ministers will be announced very soon. The AP cabinet decided to ban the private practice by the government doctors across the state to improve the services in the government hospitals. The state cabinet asked the Medical and Health Department officials to prepare all the needed guidelines along with a road map to implement the rule in the state. AP Minister Perni Nani informed the same to the media last evening after the cabinet meeting was concluded.

AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy chaired the cabinet meeting in the Secretariat yesterday during which the decision was made. Perni Nani said that the government took the decision after collecting the feedback from the government hospitals. The doctors are focused on private practice which is making them unavailable in the government hospitals told Nani. He said that such a practice is unacceptable in any circumstances. The state cabinet also approved lands for hospitals. A multi-speciality hospital in Kakinada Urban and a hospital in Kurnool's Kallur is approved .Other approved hospital projects are in Vizianagaram under Health Hub through APIIC and Anantapur, Srikakulam.
