Nara Lokesh tested positive for Covid-19:- The third wave of coronavirus is taking a toll across the globe because of the new variant named Omicron. The variant is now present in all the states and union territories of the country. A total number of 8209 Omicron cases are reported in India till date and more cases are yet to be traced as the genome sequencing is taking ample time than normal. The cases in Andhra Pradesh too have increased rapidly and the government imposed night curfews from tomorrow along with 50 percent occupancy in public places and theatres, shopping malls. Former Minister and TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh is tested positive for Covid-19. Nara Lokesh himself revealed the news through his twitter page.

I have tested positive for COVID-19.

I’m asymptomatic and feeling fine but will be self-isolating until recovery.

I request those who have come in contact with me to get tested at the earliest and take necessary precautions.

Lokesh has mild symptoms and he is in self-isolation currently. Lokesh stayed away from the Sankranthi celebrations along with his family in the recent week because of the pandemic. Lokesh has been quite active in the party operations for the past few days and is touring across the Amaravati region. He is also meeting the young leaders and party supporters from the past few weeks and is preparing for the 2024 polls.
