High Court Slams Telangana Government On Dharani Glitches:- The government of Telangana introduced Dharani portal to keep a fair record of each plot and land in the state. The web portal has been facing several technical glitches and the registration processes came to a halt. There are several cases filed in the Telangana High Court and the court issued notices to the state government. The High Court asked the government to explain how the Rights in the Land and Pattadar Passbook Act, 2020 can resolve or address the glitches in the newly introduced Dharani portal. Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice A. Rajashekar Reddy along with the bench was dealing the case the filed by C Damodara Rajanarsimha, former Deputy Chief Minister.

C Damodara Rajanarsimha argued that the government violated Article 14 of the Indian Constitution. The portal has not provided any mechanism about the fraudulent issuance of passbooks for private lands and other properties with the missing survey numbers. There are lot of wrong entries into the portal told several people. The revenue records can be updated only when the land is acquired through gift, sale, exchange or mortgage. There are several issues in the Dharani portal told the complaints. Several land owners are facing issues to get their names entered into the Dharani portal. Other legislations are in force in the state. C.V. Bhasker Reddy, counsel for the state said that the government brought it to maintain the registrations in order not to make entries without the knowledge of the land owners.
