3,79,257 new coronavirus cases reported in India:- A total number of 3,79,257 new cases of coronavirus are reported in India in the last 24 hours in the country. The death toll in the country is 3645 in the last 24 hours which is the highest in the country till date. The total number of coronavirus cases in the country stands at 1,83,76,524 and the total number of recoveries in India are 1,50,86,878. The death tally in India reached 2,04,832 and there are 30,84,814 active cases for coronavirus in the country. A total number of 1,50,86,878 people took up the vaccination for coronavirus. 2,69,507 people got discharged in the last 24 hours in the country.
It has been a week since the daily tally of coronavirus cases crossed 3 lakh mark. The entire nation has a shortage of beds and oxygen cylinders along with vaccinations in the country while the daily tally is increasing on a regular basis. Over 1.3 crore people applied for vaccination on CoWIN after the government announced mass vaccination for all the people aged above 18 years from May 1st. USA is sending supplies worth more than 100 million USD to India told White House in a statement. They include 1000 oxygen cylinders along with 15 million N95 masks. 1 million rapid diagnostist tests too are sent by USA. Maharashtra continued to report huge number of cases and a total number of 63,309 new cases are reported in the state yesterday.
A total number of 14.96 crore people are infected with coronavirus across the world and 31.5 lakh people died due to coronavirus. As per the reports coming from the Indian Council of Medical Research, the total number of samples tested in India yesterday are 17,68,190 and the samples tested in the country in total are said to be 28,44,71,979.
