1600 gelatin sticks and 1800 detonators seized from three in Hyderabad:- The Hyderabad cops arrested three people for possessing huge quantity of gelatin sticks and detonators. Three people are taken into custody from a toll plaza near Bibinagar police limits in Hyderabad. Two cars along with 1600 gelatin sticks and 1800 detonators are seized. The arrested people are identified as Putta Raju, Kotagiri Rajeshwar and Varikoppula Jagan. Two others from the gang are absconding. All these are on their way to Adibatla with these illegal explosives. The main accused Putta Raju is habitual of supplying explosives to conduct illegal blasts. He was arrested on these charges several times in the past. The primary investigation said that the accused are working with some licensed explosive dealers to sell them in the market.
There are eight cases on the main accused in the limits of Rachakonda Commissionerate. Five people are booked under this case for Explosives Substances (Amendment) Act, 2001, and Explosives Act, 1884. The investigation is currently underway. A box of gelatin sticks or detonators cost Rs 1600 with 200 pieces. The cops conducted an investigation and informed that the accused purchased them from Sri Laxmi Narasimha Enterprises, a licensed explosives shop. They purchased them for Rs 3000 per box and are selling them for Rs 6000 for their customers. Special Operations Team (SOT) of Bhongir zone under the direct supervision of Commissioner of Police (CP) Mahesh Bhagawat and Additional CP Sudheer Babu conducted the operation.
