Kanaka Durga Temple Irregularities: 13 Employees Suspended:- The Andhra Pradesh government today suspended 13 employees from the Vijayawada's Kanaka Durga temple including five superintendent-level working staff which came as a sudden shock. The government took this decision after the report was submitted by the officials of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB). The ACB officials conducted searches in the temple recently. Arjuna Rao, the Special Commissioner of the Endowments Department ordered the immediate suspension of the employees from Monday night from seven different divisions of the temple.

The ACB officials submitted a report about the massive irregularities in the temple land and the transactions of the shop leases, sale of tickets, sale of sarees that are donated to goddess Kanaka Durga. The Superintendents of Annadanam, Housekeeping, Temple lands, shops and Stores departments are suspended. Apart from them, the Executive Officer also issued orders for the suspension of three people who are working at the sales counters of tickets and distribution of prasadam along with the saree counter sales and the department that sells the photos. M Suresh, the Executive Officer of the temple confirmed the news saying that the employees committed mistakes and the orders are passed as per the instructions of the Commissioner.
