Internet Services Suspended in Parts of Delhi:- The farmers intensified the protests across the country and they announced for a tractor rally on the occasion of Republic Day. The situations turned violent in some of the parts of New Delhi today and the Centre ordered the Delhi government to suspend the internet services for the next 12 hours in the parts of Delhi at five border points to ensure public safety. The Union Ministry of Home Affairs along with the Centre suspended the telecom services in Singhu, Tikri, Ghazipur, Mukarba Chowk along with Nalgoi regions of Delhi region.

Deputy Secretary of MHA, Shailendra Vikram Singh issued the orders. “In exercise of the power conferred by Section 7n of the Indian Telegraph Act, 1885, read with sub-rule 1 of Rule 2 of the temporary suspension of telecom services (public emergency or public safety) rules 2017, and in the interest of maintaining public safety and averting public emergency it is necessary and expedient to order, the temporary suspension of internet services in the areas of Singhu, Ghazipur, Tikri, Mukarba Chowk and Nangloi and their adjoining areas in the NCT of Delhi from 12.00 hours to 23.59 hours on January 26, 2021,” told the order. Except for some of the unexpected incidents, the farmers' tractor rally is a huge success all over the country. The farmers across the country came out for a day to support and protest for the farmers who are standing against the three farm laws introduced by the Centre.
