YS Jagan Launches MDUs for Ration Door Delivery in Andhra Pradesh:- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy flagged off the Mobile Dispensing Units (MDUs) which are specially designed to deliver the daily ration for the people of the state. The event took place today in Vijayawada and as many as 9260 vehicles are on board to supply rice and other household needs to the doorstep of the ration cardholders in Andhra Pradesh. The government chalked out a program to deliver the essential commodities to the doorstep of the ration holders and YS Jagan instructed the officials to make this true at the earliest. YS Jagan said that this would be a huge relief for the cardholders from long queues at the shops every month.

YS Jagan promised this before the 2019 elections and the government implemented this finally. 2500 vehicles will serve the people of Krishna, West Godavari and Guntur districts out of the 9260 vehicles. All the vehicles are lined up on the MG Road after which YS Jagan flagged off and inaugurated them at 10:45 AM. AP Government spent Rs 539 crores to purchase these vehicles and were given at 60 percent subsidy for the eligible beneficiaries. The value of each vehicle is said to be Rs 5,81,000 and Rs 3,48,600 is provided by various corporations.
