India to Supply Coronavirus Vaccine for Six Countries:- India is the largest manufacturer for vaccines in the world. Two coronavirus vaccines Covaxin and Covishield are approved and the first phase of the vaccination drive kick-started recently. The health officials and workers are getting vaccinated in the first phase. India will start exporting vaccines for coronavirus to six neighboring countries starting from today. India will supply coronavirus vaccine for Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives, Myanmar and Seychelles. The shipments will also be sent to Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Mauritius after the regulatory clearances.

"India is deeply honored to be a long-trusted partner in meeting the healthcare needs of the global community. Supplies of Covid vaccines to several countries will commence tomorrow, and more will follow in the days ahead" posted Narendra Modi on his twitter page. The Ministry of External Affairs said that India would continue to support all the neighboring countries in the coming weeks on the coronavirus vaccines. The Ministry of External Affairs also received several requests from these countries after which the government took a call on providing the vaccines.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar told "India fulfils the commitment to give vaccines to humanity. Supplies for our neighbors will start on 20th January. The Pharmacy of the World will deliver to overcome the COVID challenge". Bangladesh will receive two million doses of coronavirus vaccine tomorrow. India had earlier supplied hydroxychloroquine, remdesivir and paracetamol tablets to several countries and is now set to supply the vaccine for coronavirus.
