19,079 New Coronavirus Cases Reported In India:- The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that 17,39,41,658 samples were tested for COVID-19 in the country till date and the total samples tested yesterday are said to be 8,29,964. A total number of 19,079 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours and 224 people passed away in India in a day. The details are as per the data released by the Union Health Ministry. The recovery rate in the country stands at 96.1 percent. The total number of active cases of coronavirus in the country are at 2,50,183 and 99,06,387 patients recovered completely from coronavirus and got cured completely as per the Union Health Ministry.

The total deaths reported in the country because of coronavirus are said to be 1,49,218. Union Health Minister Dr Varsha Vardhan slammed all the rumors about the coronavirus vaccine in the country. He made it clear that the Indian government will distribute the vaccine for free in the country. He said that the approved coronavirus vaccine is safe to use and the dry run is on in various locations of the country. Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri announced that the flight operations between India and the United Kingdom will resume from January 8 which are suspended because of the spread of the new strain of coronavirus.
