The government of Telangana is yet to announce its stand on the reopening of theatres. Several Tollywood filmmakers are waiting for the Telangana government's nod to announce the release chart of films. Though the announcement from Telangana is expected this week, it wasn't out. The government granted permissions for all the other sectors.

The makers of the Sankranthi 2021 releases would take a call in December about the release dates. There are speculations that films like Vakeel Saab are pushed to summer but the final decision would be taken in December. Sai Tej's Solo Brathuke So Better will release on December 18th and the Telugu film producers are confident that the Centre would allow 100% occupancy to theatres from January. If the second wave of coronavirus does not hit the country, things will go fine and the audience would have a chance to witness several releases for Sankranthi.

As of now, Tollywood is waiting for the Telangana government to grant permission to reopen the theatres in the state. The government of Telangana is focused on the GHMC polls and the government order for the reopening of theatres.
