AP Government Cancels the Permission of 48 Private Colleges for Violating Rules:- The government of Andhra Pradesh canceled the permission of private degree colleges in the state. The Board of Higher Education and canceled the permission for 48 colleges which violated the regulations. A statement was issued by the Council Secretary about the same. The Higher Education Council issued show-cause notices for 246 private degree colleges after they noticed that these colleges are running without the affiliation with the universities. An inquiry committee has been formed for all these colleges by the Board of Higher Education as per the instructions from the government of Andhra Pradesh.

The committee asked the colleges to appear before them with all the needed documents. Based on the inquiry, some of the colleges could not present the documents and some of them failed to appear before them, the committee canceled the permission of 48 private degree colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Some of the programs in 61 colleges in the state are removed as per the update. Fifty colleges that are affiliated to Nannaya University have been issued show-cause notices and the permission of seven colleges are canceled. In the circle of Nagarjuna University, 23 colleges received show-cause notices and the permission of 7 colleges are canceled.
