85,362 New Coronavirus Cases: India tally crosses 59 lakh mark:- With 85,362 new cases registered for coronavirus in the country, the total tally of cases in the country touched 59 lakh mark and it stands at 59,03,932. The total number of active cases in the country are at 9,60,969. The total death cases in the country are said to be 93,379. 1089 deaths in the country are registered in the past 24 hours. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced the tally of cases along with the deaths officially today. The total tests conducted in India to date are said to be 7,02,69,975 and out of these, 13,41,535 samples are tested yesterday as per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
The total tally of cases in the United States of America crossed 7 million and total cases stand at 70,05,746. India is second in the world and next to USA in the number of coronavirus cases. Brazil is the third most impacted country in the world with 4.7 million cases of coronavirus. Johnson & Johnson's experimental COVID-19 vaccine is said to have been providing a strong immune response against the virus as per the conducted trials. The vaccine is named Ad26.COV2.S. The World Health Organization (WHO) hinted that the total deaths that would take place due to coronavirus would cross 2 million mark. The deaths in the world are currently near to 1 million. A total number of 48 lakh people recovered completely from the coronavirus pandemic in India and the recovery rate is close to 81% in the country.
