Eight Killed after a Three-storey Building Collapses in Maharashtra's Bhiwandi:- A multi-storey building in Maharashtra's Bhiwandi collapsed that killed eight people. Over five people have been rescued from the rubble as per the reports of Thane Municipal Corporation. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) officials pulled out a child alive from the spot and the rescue operations are currently going on. Dozens are feared to be trapped under the debris as per the reports. 25 people have been rescued by the locals and they are rushed to the nearby hospitals after they suffered minor injuries. The incident took place in the Patel compound area in the Bhiwandi region.

The incident took place at 3:40 AM and a team of the fire brigade, cops, NDRF officials rushed to the spot to carry the rescue operations. The NDRF officials say that more than 20 people are feared to be trapped in the region and they are working hard to carry the rescue operations. The incident took place at 3:40 AM when the residents are in deep sleep. As per the officials, the building was constructed in 1984 and around 20 families are staying in the collapsed building. The government of Maharashtra ordered a probe in the incident. The cops are identifying the deceased and they are collecting the information on the number of people residing in the building.
