Narendra Modi Conducts Bhumi Puja For Ram Mandir:- Narendra Modi reached Ayodhya for the groundbreaking ceremony of Ram Mandir in the holy city. He was presented with a headgear, silver 'mukut' and stole by Sri Gaddinsheen Premdas Maharaj, head priest of 10th-century Hanumangarhi Temple. Modi performs Sashtang Pranam at the Ram Janmabhoomi site and offered prayers to Ram Lalla. Then he started the bhoomi puja at Ayodhya. Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, President of Ram Mandir Trust Nitya Gopal Das and RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat were present for the event. The ceremony took place at 12:44:08 PM and the first brick was laid at this time. Nine bricks that were sent by the devotees of Lord Rama in 1989 are placed.

Soil from 2000 pilgrimage sites and water from 100 rivers are brought for the three-day rituals. Narendra Modi released a postage stamp on 'Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir' and spoke after the event. He urged all the attendees to chant 'Jai Sri Ram'. "The wait for centuries ended today. I express my gratitude to all the Indians across the world and congratulations to the devotees of Lord Rama. I am fortunate to witness this historic moment. Ram Lalla will have a great temple built who is staying in the tent. The Ram Mandir will soon turn a modern symbol for our traditions and it is a symbol for our devotion. It will keep inspiring the future generations" said Narendra Modi during his speech.
