15 Priests In Tirumala Tested Positive With Coronavirus

15 Priests In Tirumala Tested Positive With Coronavirus:- The government of Andhra Pradesh granted permission for the devotees for the darshan of Tirumala Lord Venkateswara swamy last month. After hundreds TTD officials are tested positive with the coronavirus, Tirumala turned out to be a red zone. Now, 15 out of the 50 priests in Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam are tested positive with coronavirus. TTD is in plans to conduct an emergency meeting after the latest development. A total number of 1865 tests are conducted in Tirumala out of which 1704 are TTD employees and 631 are devotees.

TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal held a meeting with the TTD officials on July 12th and he informed the media about the spread. None of the devotees are tested positive with coronavirus in the premises of Tirumala till date. TTD also kept a close watch after they called up all the devotees after they returned back from Tirumala enquiring about their health and found no positive cases. Several leaders have proposed to temporarily suspend the TTD darshan. TTD Staff and Workers United Front also wrote to the Executive Officer to suspend the darshan of Lord Venkateswara temporarily. A decision will be taken in the crucial TTD meeting.
