17,296 New Cases Of Coronavirus Registered Yesterday:- The spread of coronavirus in the country is unstoppable and the number of cases are increasing at a rapid speed. As many as 17,296 new cases are registered in the country and 407 people passed away yesterday. The total number of cases in the country stands at 4,90,401. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that the total samples tested in the country are 77,76,228 and the samples tested yesterday are 2,15,446. There are 1,89,463 active cases of coronavirus in the country.

2,85,637 people got cured and discharged to date while the total number of deaths are at 15,301. With several people facing respiratory distress, the country is facing a huge shortage of oxygen concentrators. The World Health Organization (WHO) purchased 14,000 oxygen concentrators and is in plans to send these to 120 countries to meet the current needs. WHO is also in plans to purchase 1,70,000 concentrators which are valued at 100 million USD and they would be available in the next six months. There are ongoing speculations that lockdown would be imposed across the country from July 1st if the current trend goes increasing.
