Karnataka Bans Online Education For Children Below 5th Standard:- With the coronavirus outbreak, several schools across the country suggested online classes for children after the month of June arrived. Some of the schools across the country already started online classes. Giving a huge relief for thousands of parents and students, the Department of Primary and Secondary Education of Karnataka ordered a ban on the system of online classes for children below the fifth standard. All the online classes from LKG to 5th standard are now canceled.

A report has been submitted by director NIMHANS, several parents have complained about the process of online classes that are conducted by private schools. Karnataka Department of Primary and Secondary Education took a decision after they received several complaints from the parents. S Suresh Kumar, the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education briefed the media saying that the online classes have been stopped from immediate effect. The Minister asked the schools not to collect fees with the name of online classes. The minister asked the schools not to increase the fees for the year 2020-21.

As of now, there is no clarity about the reopening of the schools for now. The Karnataka Department of Primary and Secondary Education formed a committee to suggest how to keep the students engaged in this time.
