Supreme Court Says That The Middle Seats In Flights Should Be Kept Empty:- The Centre already gave its nod for the domestic flight services starting from today and several airports, flight carriers started operating from today with a limited number of services. The Supreme Court today said asked to take an important precaution of social distancing in the flights to prevent coronavirus. The top court asked the flight carriers to leave the middle seats empty to follow social distancing. Air India already sold the seats and opened bookings for the middle seats too.

The Supreme Court said that Air India can only operate the flights with the middle seats sold for the next ten days and asked the carrier to change the rules after that. Chief Justice SA Bobde said that it is the common sense of maintaining the social distancing by not selling the middle seats. When you are maintaining six feet distance, why would you not follow the rules quested the Chief Justice. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that the best practice is testing and quarantine. Air India told that the bookings for the flights are already done till June 16th, the Supreme Court asked not to fly anyone in the centre seats.
