YS Jagan Announces Rs 1 Cr Compensation For The Deceased In Vizag Gas Leak Incident

YS Jagan Announces Rs 1 Cr Compensation For The Deceased In Vizag Gas Leak Incident:- The Vizag gas leak incident created a sensation across the country this morning. A total number of ten people passed away and 320 people are hospitalized after styrene gas got leaked from LG Polymers located in RR Venkatapuram in Vizag region. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy rushed to Vizag after coming to know about the incident. He said that the government of AP will shift LG Polymers factory from Venkatapuram if needed. He ordered a probe in the incident through a high-level committee which will investigate about the complete accident. Special Chief Secretary, Commissioner of Police and the Collector would be a part of the committee.

The government will take a call as per the report that would be submitted by the high-level committee. YS Jagan announced Rs 1 crore compensation for the kin of the deceased. He also announced Rs 10 lakhs for those who are on ventilators and Rs 1 lakh for those who are getting treated in primary care. He also asked the Collector to give Rs 10,000 for every family residing in RR Venkatapuram region. He asked the Collector to immediately disburse the amount to the people. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) took suo motu notice about the incident. Chief Secretary Nilam Sawhney has been issued notices asking him to submit a detailed report about the incident. The chemical leak in LG Polymers took place at 2.30 AM today.
