China Fumes Over ICMR On Faulty Rapid Testing Kits:- The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) made it clear that the rapid testing kits that are imported from China are faulty. The ICMR asked the states across India to avoid using the faulty kits and they clarified that all these kits will be returned back. Ji Rong, Spokesperson and Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in India said that China is deeply concerned with the results and the decision made by the Indian Council of Medical Research. Ji Rong said that China gives great importance for quality.

Guangzhou Wondfo Biotech and Zhuhai Livzon Diagnostics already issued statements that the rapid test kits are obtained after they are certified by the National Medical Products Administration of China (NMPA) saying that they met the quality standards in the country after which they are imported. They further clarified that the kits are approved by ICMR through the National Institute of Virology in Pune. They also said that these rapid testing kits are imported to several other countries. The ICMR evaluated the kits on the field after which they are named as faulty. All these kits will be sent to the Chinese suppliers soon.
