12-year-old Girl Dies After Walking For 150 km

12-year-old Girl Dies After Walking For 150 km:- A 12-year-old girl passed away after she walked 150km for three continuous days from Telangana to Bijapur district located in Chhattisgarh during the coronavirus lockdown period. She was identified as Jamlo Makdam and she worked in a chilly field in Telangana. With no transportation and the whole country under lockdown, Jamlo walked all the way to her hometown. She died after reaching close to her village. Jamlo along with 11 others planned a foot trip on April 15th. They walked for three days in this summer heat and Jamlo could not withstand the heat. She collapsed when she was 14km away from her hometown.

Jamlo suffered pain in her stomach and collapsed down. She was rushed to a hospital and the doctors said that she was badly dehydrated and malnourished. A coronavirus test too was conducted and she was tested negative. Her body was shifted to her hometown after conducting all the tests. Her father Andoram Madkam said that Jamlo was working in a Telangana farm from the past couple of months. She suffered from vomiting and stomach pain before she died. The state government announced a compensation of Rs 1 lakh to the family of the deceased.
