Lockdown Won't Defeat Coronavirus Says Rahul Gandhi:- The whole country is under lockdown and with the increase in the number of cases, Narendra Modi extended the lockdown till May 3rd. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that the lockdown will not defeat coronavirus in the country. He suggested that the Centre should go for testing aggressively to battle coronavirus in India. "Lockdown can only stop coronavirus for a while. It will not defeat the virus. Testing should be done strategically and aggressively to fight coronavirus" said Rahul Gandhi while addressing the media today. He also warned the people to take up all the measures, else everyone should stay under lockdown for more time.

Rahul Gandhi also said that the Indian government is just chasing the virus which will not give any clear picture of the coronavirus in the country. "The levels of testing are quite low. The scale of testing should go up. Use strategical ways of testing. Don't take this as criticism. The testing kits are available in all the other nations except India. There is a huge shortage of rapid COVID-19 testing kits. It is not the right time to discuss about the government's failure and I am here offering some suggestions to the governance. We have to ensure that all the lives are protected. Please do not focus on the economy as of now" said Rahul Gandhi.

The total number of coronavirus cases in India reached 12,380 and 414 people passed away in the country to date.
