Hyderabad Cops About The Liquor Scams In This Quarantine Time:- All the liquor shops across the country will remain shut till the completion of lockdown. Some fraudsters are posing fake deliveries saying that the liquor would be delivered to their homes in this lockdown period. A series of incidents came to light across the limits of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate authorities and the cops are urging people to save them from the trap. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crimes) Rohini Priyadarshini, the criminals are using Google search options promising people to deliver liquor to their homes.

After the payments are made, people are not getting the orders delivered said the cops. Most of the fraudsters are demanding digital payments. An accountant from a private firm paid Rs 92000 to a fraudster who was promised liquor to be delivered home. The cops said that the person searched for liquor home and came across the contact number of a popular liquor store in the city. The number belonged to a fraudster and he paid Rs 92000. The accountant was told that the bottle costs Rs 1600 and the person lost Rs 92000 after he shared OTPs. The accountant later filed a complaint with the cybercrime police. The cops requested the people not to fall prey for such frauds.
