A Tiger In New York Zoo Tested Positive With Coronavirus:- A tiger that is based in New York's Bronx Zoo has been tested positive with coronavirus. This happens to be the first animal to turn sick with coronavirus. The zoo's chief veterinarian confirmed the news on Sunday. Four-year-old Malayan tiger named Nadia was tested positive after it was screened for the disease. The tiger was tested after developing a dry cough. Three tigers and three lions are tested confirmed the zoo officials. An investigation is on to know how Nadia got infected with the coronavirus. It is expected that it got infected through a human.

The news is shared with all the other zoos and the veterinarian is quite confident that the tiger would recover from coronavirus. Some of the tigers and lions are exhibiting the same symptoms in the Bronx zoo. Nadia is said to be terribly sick. X-ray tests along with ultrasound and blood tests are conducted recently along with coronavirus tests. The US Department of Agriculture National Veterinary Services Laboratories performed the test after the tiger fell sick. The zoo officials were left in shock after the tiger got tested positive. The American Veterinary Medical Association and the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended people with coronavirus symptoms should stay away from their pets.
